Rise of Kingdoms passport: what it does and how to get pages
THE ESSENTIALS
- A passport page is the item that lets you move your city from one kingdom to another.
- Migrating takes more than the item: the game also checks power, time since your last move and, in some cases, an invite.
- Pages show up in events, merit shops and bundles — rarely all at once, so stock up before you need them.

What a passport page is
A passport page is an inventory item. On its own it changes nothing: it is the key the game asks for when you decide to take your city to another kingdom — to follow your alliance, to leave a dead kingdom, or to join one with a livelier KvK.
It sits in your inventory until used and does not expire like a temporary buff, which is why players stockpile pages long before deciding where to go.
How many pages you need
The cost depends on the kind of migration and on the destination kingdom. Moving inside the same kingdom group costs less than joining a newer, contested kingdom, and the game shows the exact cost on the migration screen before you confirm.
One practical rule: never trust a number from an old video. Open the migration screen, pick the destination and read the cost right there — it changes with kingdom age and current rules.
Where to find passport pages
- Seasonal events, especially the ones tied to KvK and to the game's anniversary.
- Merit and event shops, on rotation — they sell out fast while the kingdom is at war.
- Paid bundles: there is almost always one with pages, but the price per page swings a lot between offers.
- Alliance rewards: some alliances hand out pages to pull members in from other kingdoms.
Requirements beyond the item
Having the pages does not guarantee the move. The game checks the time since your last migration, your power level and restrictions on the destination — new kingdoms block large accounts on purpose, to keep KvK balanced.
If your account is in an alliance, leave it before migrating so the move is not refused at the last step. And confirm the destination with someone already there: an invite opens kingdoms that look closed from the outside.
What happens to your city afterwards
The whole city moves: buildings, commanders, troops and the resources inside your warehouse. What changes is the map around you — you land on a free tile with no alliance territory and none of its buffs.
Plan the landing. Arriving in a new kingdom with no alliance and troops out on the map is the fastest way to lose them on day one.
Common mistakes
- Buying pages before checking the real cost of the migration you actually want.
- Migrating with troops marching or resources sitting outside the warehouse — whatever is on the map stays behind.
- Leaving the alliance only after the game already refused the move.
- Picking a kingdom by its number, without asking someone inside how active it really is.
Frequently asked questions
Do passport pages expire?
No. They stay in your inventory until used, so you can collect them during events and decide later.
Can I migrate at any power level?
No. Newer kingdoms cap incoming power, and the game tells you when your account is outside the allowed range for that destination.
Do I lose commanders or progress when migrating?
No. The account moves intact. What you lose is your spot on the map, the old alliance territory and the buffs that came with it.
